The Opportunity
We are seeking an Air Export Coordinator to support the execution and coordination of our international air export operations. In this role, you will manage all aspects of air export shipments, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timely delivery from booking through to final destination. You will contribute to maintaining efficient processes and high service standards in a fast-paced environment.
In addition, you will provide exceptional customer service to current and prospective clients, ensuring clear communication and adherence to export and airline regulations while supporting a seamless shipping experience.
What You’ll Do

Coordinate and manage international air export shipments from booking through to final delivery.

Arrange airfreight bookings with carriers and consolidators, ensuring space allocation meets customer and operational requirements.

Prepare and verify export documentation, including air waybills, commercial invoices, packing lists, and export declarations.

Ensure compliance with export control laws, customs regulations, and airline security protocols.

Communicate with customers, overseas offices/agents, airlines, and internal teams to ensure timely and efficient cargo movement.

Track and monitor shipments, providing proactive updates and resolving service issues or delays.

Review and confirm freight rates, cost sheets, and billing to ensure accuracy and profitability.

Coordinate cargo pickup, warehouse operations, and consolidations where applicable.

Maintain accurate records in the company’s freight management system and ensure timely data entry.

Support the sales and customer service teams by providing operational insights, routing solutions, and quotation assistance.

Identify opportunities to streamline export processes and enhance customer experience.

Provide back-up support within department during busy periods, vacations and unexpected employee absences.

Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve departmental and company goals.

Perform all other job-related duties as required by management.
What You Bring
-
Formal Academic Training in a related field (CITT or CIFFA preferred) and two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedures manuals.

Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.

Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.

Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.

Proficient personal computer skills including Microsoft office and routine database activity.
