Collaborative and result-driven, the IT Support Specialist I provides support for end-users in our fast-paced and geographically distributed environment. This position contributes to maintaining an effective help desk environment and providing exceptional customer service to the organization.
What you'll do

Provide support to users across various locations in Saskatchewan, including hardware/software installation and troubleshooting.

Recommend, schedule, and perform maintenance, upgrades, repairs, and or/replacement of IT equipment and systems; and monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve issues.

Perform system testing, training, and technical support to users.

Lead the IT onboarding process for new employees by managing user accounts, setting up equipment, and providing basic IT orientation and training.

Together with the IT team, maintain an efficient, productive and collaborative helpdesk environment.

Create and maintain proper documentation according to procedures.

Additional duties include cross training and covering requests from different tiers as needed.
What you'll bring

Valid Class 5 Driver’s License.

Post-secondary education in computer science or a related field.

1-3 years of related experience, with preference given to experience in an IT Help Desk or technical support environment.

Working knowledge of Microsoft business products (Microsoft Office, Office 365, etc.), MS Exchange, Windows 10 and 11 operating systems connected to a corporate network is required.

Working knowledge and/or certification in A+, Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE), Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) or related network/IT designation is considered an asset.

Ability to manage competing priorities while quickly adapting to change, shifting demands and dynamic environments.

Ability to deliver exceptional customer service in an IT help desk environment, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Willingness to learn, combined with proactiveness and a positive, can-do attitude.
Compensation
The expected compensation range for this role is $50,000.00 to $63,377.60 per year. Placement within the range will be based on demonstrated skills, relevant experience, and internal equity considerations.
