Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role offers an opportunity to develop hospitality skills within a fast-paced food service environment, utilizing POS systems and engaging with guests to enhance their dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive service throughout their visit
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using Micros POS or similar systems
- Serve food and drinks efficiently while maintaining presentation standards
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and cashiering responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to maximize sales opportunities
- Ensure proper food handling, sanitation, and safety procedures are followed at all times
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen support as needed during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables while providing excellent guest service
- Address guest inquiries promptly and professionally to ensure satisfaction
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service or restaurant environment preferred but not required
- Knowledge of POS systems such as Micros POS is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on guest satisfaction
- Basic math skills for billing, cash handling, and order accuracy
- Familiarity with food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
- Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude
- Experience with food industry standards including serving, upselling, and hospitality principles
- Reliable time management skills to handle multiple tables and responsibilities effectively
- Restaurant experience or kitchen background is advantageous but not mandatory
