About the Role
We are looking for a motivated and hands-on Marine Mechanic Technician to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a key part in maintaining, preparing, and servicing recreational and commercial watercraft. Whether you're prepping boats for the season or buttoning them down for winter, your work ensures our customers are on the water safely and with confidence.
Responsibilities would include:
Summarizing & Winterizing Boat Engines - Perform seasonal preparation and storage services — including engine flushing, fogging, fluid changes, and system protection — to ensure watercraft are ready for launch or safely stored for the off-season.
Boat Mechanical Inspections - Conduct thorough mechanical inspections of marine vessels, assessing engine performance, electrical systems, steering, bilge pumps, and safety equipment to identify issues and ensure compliance with safety standards.
Rigging & Boat Setup Preparation - Assist with the full rigging and pre-launch setup of boats, including mounting hardware, installing accessories, routing cables and controls, and verifying all systems are properly configured before a vessel hits the water.
Engine Tune-Ups & Carburetor Cleaning - Perform engine tune-ups including spark plug replacement, fuel filter servicing, and timing adjustments. Disassemble, clean, and rebuild carburetors to restore proper fuel delivery and optimize engine performance.
What We Are Looking For
Hands-on experience with marine and small engines is an asset. A strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a passion for the boating industry are what matter most. We welcome experienced candidates who are eager to learn and grow within the trade.
