Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Part-time Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. This role involves providing exceptional guest service, taking orders, and ensuring a memorable dining experience for all patrons. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food service, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Previous restaurant or food industry experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided to ensure you succeed in this role.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using POS systems such as Micros POS
- Serve food and drinks promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and sanitation
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are consistently met during food handling and serving
- Assist with food preparation and kitchen support as needed
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy periods
- Maintain cleanliness of dining areas, tables, and service stations
- Provide guest services by addressing questions, special requests, or concerns professionally
Skills
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS, is highly desirable
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on hospitality and guest satisfaction
- Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and proper food handling procedures
- Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced restaurant environment
- Excellent time management skills to ensure timely service
- Basic math skills for cashiering and cash handling transactions
- Food industry or restaurant experience preferred but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Effective communication skills for interacting with guests and team members
- Ability to upsell menu items confidently to enhance the guest experience
- Familiarity with food preparation, serving techniques, and kitchen operations is a plus
