We're looking for a Red Seal Maintenance Mechanic (Millwright) to join our maintenance team at our Halifax manufacturing facility. Responsibilities:
When your actions lead to success:

Performing preventive and corrective maintenance on production and auxiliary equipment.

Troubleshooting mechanical issues to minimize downtime and production interruptions.

Repairing, rebuilding, and maintaining industrial machinery according to manufacturer specifications.

Responding quickly to equipment breakdowns and restoring equipment to safe operating condition.
-
Diagnosing mechanical failures and implementing effective long-term solutions.
-
Fabricating replacement parts using machine shop equipment when required.

Installing, relocating, and commissioning production equipment.
-
Modifying equipment and machine guarding to improve operational efficiency and workplace safety.
-
Working collaboratively with production and maintenance teams to support continuous improvement initiatives.

Following all company safety procedures and preventative maintenance programs.
Qualifications:
When your expertise drives us:

Red Seal Millwright Certification (Certificate of Qualification).

Experience working in a manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment.

Experience operating machine shop equipment such as:
-
Lathe
-
Milling machine
-
Welding equipment
-
Strong understanding of industrial machinery, mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, bearings, conveyors, and power transmission.

Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic abilities.

Strong communication and computer skills.
-
Self-motivated, organized, and able to prioritize work effectively.
-
Flexible and willing to work rotating shifts or permanent night shifts as operationally required.
