SENIOR CUSTOMS RATER / PROBLEM SOLVER
Position Summary:
The successful candidate will possess thorough knowledge and experience in all areas of import/export procedures. An ability to problem-solve and customize solutions quickly is crucial. Excellent communication skills, solid work ethic and dedication will be essential to your success. You should work well in collaboration with others and be an especially hardworking individual. Duties:
- Arranging customs clearance on behalf of our clients Handling all import requirements as necessary. Handling calls and questions from clients and/or drivers. Requesting permits. Electronically submitting entries to customs. Tracing shipments. Various office duties as assigned. Assistance with Freight movements
Required Education / Skills:
- Thorough knowledge of importation regulations/requirements. College diploma in related field is an asset. Certified Customs Specialist designation. Minimum three years of experience in customs brokerage. Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to customize solutions quickly. Excellent communication and organization skills. Great attention to detail. Ability to work with minimal supervision & work well as part of a team.
