VG Engineering Inc has been in the noise, vibration, flow & dispersion industry since 2011. The manufacturing facility located in Breslau, is CWB & TSSA Certified and produces high quality custom metal fabricated products mostly in support of the aviation industry.
We are currently seeking a Quality Assurance & Welding Inspector who is hardworking, detail oriented and dependable to join our team.

Job Responsibilities:
Production & Material Preparation
- Oversee and perform daily material preparation including cutting, shearing, deburring, grinding, and part staging.
- Verify material sizes, thicknesses, and grades before processing to ensure compliance with job specifications.
- Read and interpret fabrication drawings, cut lists, and work orders to plan efficient prep workflows.
- Ensure parts are prepared to correct tolerances and ready for downstream fabrication or welding.
Equipment Operation & Maintenance
- Set up, program, and operate Ermaksan Speed Bend Pro press brake for precision forming.
- Set up and operate Hypertherm High‑Definition plasma table, including loading programs, adjusting cut parameters, and performing routine torch maintenance.
- Set up and operate plate rolls for forming cylinders, cones, and curved plate components.
- Maintain prep equipment by performing routine checks, reporting issues, and ensuring safe operation.
- Ensure proper use of hand tools, measuring tools, and material‑handling equipment (hoists, carts, forklifts).
Workflow Coordination
- Assign and coordinate daily tasks for prep staff, ensuring materials are cut, bent, and staged to meet production schedules.
- Monitor job progress and adjust priorities to prevent bottlenecks in cutting, forming, or assembly areas.
- Communicate with fabricators, welders, and supervisors to maintain smooth job flow through the shop.
Quality Control
- Inspect cut and formed parts for accuracy, squareness, bend angles, and surface condition.
- Correct defects or rework parts as needed to meet shop standards and customer requirements.
- Maintain organized staging areas so materials are clearly labeled and ready for fabrication.
Safety & Compliance
- Enforce shop safety protocols, PPE use, and safe machine operation.
- Conduct informal safety reminders or toolbox talks related to cutting, bending, and material handling.
- Ensure the prep area remains clean, organized, and free of hazards.
Qualifications we are looking for:
- Experience in sheet metal layout REQUIRED
- Theoretical and practical knowledge and experience in metal fabrication shop.
- Strong blueprint reading skills
- Sound knowledge of programming CNC press brake controller
- Knowledge of sheet metal bending and forming
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments
- Reliable, punctual, and positive attitude
- Ability to work independent
- Experienced in operation of counterbalance forklifts and overhead cranes
Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
