Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Warehouse Manager to oversee daily warehouse operations, optimize supply chain processes, and ensure efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of warehouse management systems, ERP systems, and supply chain management. This role requires a proactive approach to process improvement, materials management, and distribution logistics to support the company's operational goals.
Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate all warehouse activities including receiving, storage, inventory control, and order fulfillment
- Supervise warehouse staff, providing guidance and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and operational standards
- Utilize Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, and AS400 to track inventory levels, process orders, and manage data accuracy
- Oversee procurement activities including purchasing, freight coordination, and working with 3PL providers
- Implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and optimize warehouse workflows through continuous improvement initiatives
- Monitor budgeting activities related to warehouse operations and materials management
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment for all staff
- Coordinate demand planning, materials procurement, and distribution logistics to meet organizational needs
- Operate or supervise the operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment as needed
- Develop strategies for warehouse distribution, freight management, and supply chain optimization
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
- Extensive knowledge of Warehouse Management System (WMS), ERP systems, AS400, and supply chain software such as demand planning tools
- Demonstrated experience with order fulfillment processes, materials management, procurement, and freight coordination
- Familiarity with forklift operation and safety procedures
- Strong background in process improvement methodologies such as continuous improvement initiatives
- Experience managing budgets related to warehouse operations and logistics functions
- Knowledge of 3PL partnerships and managing third-party logistics providers is preferred
