Newfound Mechanical Ltd. is a 100% privately owned mechanical contracting company with operations in St. John’s, NL. We specialize in commercial and residential construction and work on many diverse projects throughout our beautiful province. We are currently seeking qualified Journeyman carpenters and Apprentices to join our team.
The ideal candidate will be of efficient, safety-minded employee for a home and other commercial construction development, capable of working with minimal oversight but willing to follow directions closely. Additionally, he or she should be familiar with construction industry safety standards and procedures to ensure project security. Applicants must:
· Operate basic power and manual tools for work
· Able to work independently with minimum supervision
· Detail-oriented and able to read and interpret blueprints,
· Good team player, flexible and client focus
· Understanding and ability to follow safe work procedures, and work within a crew accordingly
· Wood framing and sheathing
· Assist with loading/unloading materials
· Clean up as required
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$36.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 50 per week
