Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Labourer to join our team in Smithers BC. This position is based outdoors working around a concrete batch plant. The ideal candidate will be hardworking, reliable, and eager to contribute to a dynamic work environment. Prior experience is a plus but not required; training will be provided to help you succeed in this role.
Responsibilities
- Loading and unloading materials and equipment
- Setup and breakdown of concrete precast forms
- Perform general manual labor tasks including lifting, carrying, and moving supplies
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of work sites to ensure safety and efficiency
- Follow safety protocols and proper handling procedures at all times
- Report any safety hazards or equipment issues to supervisors promptly
Qualifications
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy objects (up to 50 pounds)
- Valid drivers license and own transportation
- Strong work ethic with attention to detail and safety standards and able to work independently
- Good communication skills and ability to follow instructions effectively
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work in a team environment
- Prior experience in construction, manufacturing, and equipment operation is advantageous but not mandatory
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to different tasks as required
