ABOUT THE POSITION
Nahanni Construction Ltd. is currently accepting resumes for the Training Coordinator position at our Head Office in Yellowknife, Northwest Territories. This is a full-time, in-office role with regular working hours of Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
SCOPE
- Support the planning, delivery, and evaluation of employee training and development programs.
- Work closely with managers, trainers, and employees to ensure training initiatives are effectively scheduled, administered, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Coordinate and support Indigenous workforce development and training initiatives, including apprenticeship programs, community-based training opportunities, Indigenous employment commitments, and tracking of Indigenous training hours to support corporate and project-specific objectives.
- Collaborate with the Health, Safety, and Environment Department to coordinate, track, and fulfill organizational training requirements.
- Manage training calendars, venues, and online learning platforms.
- Work closely with multiple project teams to maintain accurate training records and employee development data.
- Communicate training opportunities and registration details to staff.
- Prepare training materials, presentations, and participant resources.
- Monitor attendance and evaluate training effectiveness through surveys and feedback.
- Assist in the development and implementation of leadership development programs.
- Generate reports on training participation, compliance, and outcomes.
- Ensure training activities comply with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
REQUIREMENTS
- Diploma or degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Adult Learning, or a related field.
- Minimum of one year of experience in training coordination, learning and development, HR, or administration.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and learning management systems.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
