Description: The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) works as a member of the multidisciplinary health care team, collaborating on the delivery of holistic, comprehensive care and support to patients/residents and families. The LPN must be able to team lead effectively on their own. The LPN works to the full scope of practice in providing safe, quality care in accordance with established standards, and the Mission, Vision, Values, policies and procedures of Covenant Health. This position is covered by the terms and conditions of the AUPE Auxiliary Nursing Collective Agreement.

Required Qualifications:
Required Qualifications: Graduate of a Practical Nursing program or recognized equivalent required. Active registration with the College of Licensed Practical Nurses and Health Care Aides of Alberta (CLHA). Basic Life Support Healthcare Provider (Level C) required.
Additional Required Qualifications:
- Graduated from a Licensed Practical Nurse Program. Registered with College of Licensed Practical Nurses of Alberta. Current BCLS certification. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to work within a multidisciplinary team. Must be adaptable to a rapidly changing environment and have strong organizational skills. Successfully pass the NICU Medication Administration exam done at the time of interview.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with Connect Care. 1+ years’ recent experience in a Level 2 NICU. Current NRP certification. Formal Breastfeeding education an asset.
