Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented FLT/Warehouse Operative to join our team. This role involves managing warehouse distribution tasks, operating various equipment, and ensuring efficient order fulfillment. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, forklift operation, and mechanical knowledge to support smooth warehouse operations. Duties
- Operate forklift and clamp trucks safely to move goods within the warehouse
- Assist with order picking using order picker equipment and manual methods
- Manage inventory through warehouse management systems, ensuring accurate stock levels
- Perform heavy lifting (up to 80lbs) of goods and materials as required
- Conduct regular inspections of equipment and storage areas to maintain safety standards
- Support warehouse distribution processes by organizing and preparing shipments
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the warehouse environment
- Utilize basic math skills for counting, measuring, and verifying orders
- Light landscaping and snow shoveling
Qualifications
- Previous experience in warehouse shipping/ receiving
- Valid forklift license or certification
- Experience operating clamp trucks is advantageous
- Ability to perform order picking efficiently and accurately
- Move products from staging and/or storage areas into trailers
- Strong basic math skills for inventory counts and measurements
- Capable of heavy lifting and physically demanding tasks
- Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team
- Attention to safety procedures and protocols at all times
Pay: $22.00-$24.00 per hour
