Position Summary
The Manitoba NDP is recruiting outgoing Manitobans to join our canvassing team as we prepare for the next election. The successful candidate will participate in phone, online, and door-to-door canvassing activities on behalf of Wab Kinew, the Manitoba NDP, and our candidates across the province.
Shifts will be scheduled evenings and weekends, up to 12 hours per week, May through September. First shifts will be scheduled for May 25, 2026.
Duties
- Having meaningful conversations about the Manitoba NDP on the doorstep, by phone, and online with voters across the province while listening to their concerns.
- Working in teams to complete door-to-door canvassing efforts across Manitoba and/or working in a central phone bank facility to complete phone and online canvassing efforts with voters across Manitoba.
- Working with new team members throughout the term while being provided with ongoing education, feedback, and support from Manitoba NDP staff.
- Establishing and maintaining positive, collaborative working relationships with organizers, volunteers, and candidates across the province throughout the summer.
- Supporting other central election-readiness activities, initiatives, and duties as assigned.
Skills
Manitoba NDP staff work collaboratively in support of the Party’s priorities and social democratic values. Strong knowledge of Manitoba politics is considered an asset. The successful candidate will have the following skills, experience, and attributes:
- Strong verbal communication and listening skills.
- Ability to participate in door-to-door canvassing, including extended periods of walking and standing.
- Attention to detail with experience working independently and within a team environment.
- Interest in having a positive impact on our community through the political process.
- Ability to maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, organizers, candidates, and volunteers.
- Spoken fluency in an additional language(s) is considered an asset.
- Experience managing multiple competing priorities and delivering on critical projects is considered an asset.
- Access to a vehicle and a Class 5 driver’s licence is considered an asset.

Pay: $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 12.0 per week
