Salary Range: $98,500 - $111,200 and an annual incentive program

Minimum Requirements:
- A bachelors degree in Chemical Engineering
- 5 + years of experience in refining or a related field
- Professional Engineering Designation with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) preferred
- Ability to apply professional knowledge in initiating and/or conducting complex assignments requiring modification of established guidelines and procedures with proven ability to analyze, define, and solve problems
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships in order to achieve the best results and deliver the most value
- Possess a deep understanding of refinery processes to make sound recommendations for process safety corrective actions

Responsibilities:
- Performing engineering calculations and simulations required to address process equipment or unit performance problems with a continuous improvement mindset
- Oversees and/or participates in reviews of new projects or proposed changes to refinery equipment and procedures
- Craft scoping studies and design basis memorandums outlining recommendations for improvement by applying applicable engineering standards
- Calculate the economic justification for capital project options
- Participates in hazard reviews for projects
- Provide technical assistance to operations for specialized activities
- Build positive relationships to coordinate special activities to assist operations such as catalyst changes
Location and other Key Details:
- You will work out of our Sarnia refinery in Ontario, located at 1900 St. Clair Parkway
- Hours of work are a regular 40-hour work week, Monday to Friday, with the potential for extended work hours based on business needs
- Our business professional roles follow internal compensation guidelines, and the pay band will be based on years of experience and scope of work
