Maintenance Manager
We are currently seeking a permanent full-time
Maintenance Manager to lead and oversee the
daily operations of the Maintenance
Department. Reporting to senior leadership, the
successful candidate will be responsible for the
planning, coordination, supervision, and
continuous improvement of all maintenance and
facility operations, including utility services,
construction and renovation projects, fire and
life safety systems, security functions, and
grounds maintenance.
This diverse portfolio includes oversight of the
Hospital, Long-Term Care Facility, Assisted
Living, Not-for-Profit Apartments, Family Health
Team, and Physician Housing. The Maintenance
Manager plays a critical role in ensuring all
facilities are safe, efficient, compliant, and well-
maintained in support of exceptional patient,
resident, and community care.
The successful candidate will foster and support

demonstrating professionalism, leadership, and

Qualifications:
- Certificate of Qualification in
maintenance or construction related
compulsory or non-compulsory trade; or
post-secondary education in Mechanical
or Structural Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 years of facilities
management experience - preferably in
a hospital or long-term care
environment.
- Demonstrated ability to manage and
supervise in all phases of construction
and maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of electrical and mechanical
building systems including HVAC
systems, applicable codes, standards,
regulations, and legislation.
- Proven ability to manage multiple
projects and priorities effectively.
- Strong knowledge of preventative
maintenance programs, including
emergency power generation, medical
gas systems, and fire alarm systems.
- Familiarity with healthcare accreditation
standards, infection prevention and
control practices, and occupational
health and safety regulations.
- Demonstrated leadership, team
supervision, and staff development
experience within a unionized
environment.
- Strong budgeting, procurement, and
contractor management experience,
including tendering and vendor
coordination
- Bilingualism in French and English is an
asset.

This position offers a competitive compensation
package including paid vacation and sick leave,
health and dental benefits, life insurance and
pension plan. Starting wage is $52.563 to
$61.509 dependent on education and
experience.
