Duties and Responsibilities
Basic Tasks
- Understand Facility Capabilities & Product History.
- Understand Company Direction & Business Plan.
- Related Meeting Preparations & Participations.
- Related Sample & Document preparations.
- Maintain Clean & Organized Work Environment (Digital Folders, Your own desk, Test Kitchen, Storage, etc.).
Product Development
- Formulate Benchtop Recipe of New Products.
- Revise Recipe for Improvements on Existing Products.
- Communicate with Vendors, Clients, and External Partners to achieve goals.
- Create Samples & Cost Calculations.
- Create Product HACCP Plans.
- Perform assigned Product Quality Control - Shelf life, Sensory, etc.
- Lead Production Trials & Assist in Corrective Actions as needed.
- Lead and liaison between multiple departments with all aspects of Product Launch.
- Annual Review of Documentation Files.
Product Information
- Create & Maintain Labels for all Company Products.
- Create & Maintain Spec Sheets for all Company Products.
- Be knowledgeable of applicable Regulations.
- Be proactive on Information Accuracy.
- Annual Review of Information Files.
Knowledge, Skill Requirements
A. Education and experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Science or related field.
- Food Safe Level 1 would be an asset, but the company can provide training courses.
B. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED
- Knowledge of Food Preparations (Knowledge in Japanese Food is a plus)
- Knowledge of HACCP is a plus.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office & Digital Literacy.
- Excellent Communication Skills Both Written & Verbal.
- Ability to lift 25lbs.
- Recommended No Food Allergy.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
