Production Planner
The Production Planner will be responsible for developing a production plan to satisfy customer demand while carrying minimum effective inventory. The qualified individual will be responsible for providing the plant with a production plan consistent with the plant capacity and sales forecast.
What you will be doing as a Production Planner:
· Scheduling all in-house production with attention to customer requirements and operational capabilities and efficiencies.
· Scheduling and manufacturing (through support staff) of all blended bulk products.
· Coordination of all blow molding production activities and bottle availability.
· Chairing daily production meetings and communication and coordination of requirements with all departments.
· Preparation of long-term plans for blow molding, production, and bottle storage requirements.
· Schedule all production as required by procedures.
· Ensure sales needs regarding product and delivery are scheduled to meet requirements.
· Chair daily and weekly scheduling meetings with key personnel to communicate production, material, and personnel requirements.
· Co-ordinate scheduled requirements with production and keep plant manager informed on a timely basis.
· Recap all production reports and generate a daily production summary.
· Generate a monthly filling and blow molding report recapping daily production and monthly averages compared to standards.
· Co-ordinate blow molding & filling line production to optimize efficiency.
· Coordinate purchase and delivery of all bulk liquids with purchasing.
· Schedule for production of blended liquids
· Monitor bottle inventory levels, arrange storage, and use, and recommend bottle purchasing requirements, if necessary.
· Monitor and maintain minimum stock levels on all slow-moving items by using monthly forecasts.
· Participate in other special assignments as may be directed by the supervisor.
What you should have as a Production Planner:
· Five years’ experience in a production-related function.
· Five years’ experience in production scheduling.
· Computer skills in Word and Excel or equivalent.
· Extensive organizational skills and attention to detail.
· Effective communication skills both oral and written.
· A working knowledge of manufacturing functions and processes.
· Basic computer skills with proficiency in Word and Excel.
· Working knowledge of mainframe computer information systems.

Shift time for a Production Planner :
· Monday to Friday
· 8am to 5pm
What you will receive in return as a Production Planner
· $65-75K
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $65,000.00-$75,000.00 per year
