Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee daily business operations, drive sales, and lead a team within our retail environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, with a proven track record in retail management. The Operations Manager will be responsible for ensuring exceptional customer service, managing inventory and merchandising, and maintaining efficient store procedures to meet business goals.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise store staff, including hiring, training, coaching, and evaluating team members to foster a high-performance environment.
- Oversee daily store operations such as cash handling, cashiering, POS transactions, and customer service to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
- Manage merchandising strategies, including pricing, product placement, and inventory purchasing to maximize sales and profitability.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to meet or exceed sales targets while maintaining excellent customer relations.
- Handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing, bookkeeping, budgeting, and reporting to ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate marketing initiatives and promotional activities to increase store visibility and attract new customers.
- Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate goals, provide training & development opportunities, and promote team cohesion.
- Monitor store performance metrics and analyze data to identify areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and safety regulations across all store functions.
- Manage vendor relationships for purchasing supplies and merchandise while negotiating favorable terms.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in retail management or sales management roles with supervising responsibilities.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Excellent communication skills—bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus.
- Proficiency in POS systems, cash handling procedures, bookkeeping software, and basic math skills.
- Demonstrated leadership qualities with experience in team management, training & development.
- Knowledge of merchandising strategies, pricing techniques, marketing principles, and store operations.
- Experience with recruiting staff, interviewing candidates, and conducting performance evaluations.
- Ability to handle administrative tasks such as payroll processing and budgeting accurately.
- Strong negotiation skills for vendor purchasing and contract negotiations.
- Customer service-oriented mindset with excellent phone etiquette and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $111,116.93-$125,188.61 per year
