Concrete Pump Operator
Solid Construction is a well-established and respected General Contracting company based in Kenora, proudly serving Northwestern Ontario since 2003. We are currently seeking a motivated, dependable, and safety-focused Concrete Pump Operator to join our growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for operating and maintaining either a 33m or 37m concrete boom pump at a variety of commercial, residential, and industrial job sites throughout the region. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to safety, professionalism, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Previous concrete pumping experience is considered an asset; however, training may be provided for the right individual with mechanical aptitude and a strong work ethic. A valid DZ license is required, with AZ considered an asset.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
· Safely drive and operate a 33m and 37m boom truck and related equipment at commercial, residential, and industrial job sites throughout NWO
· Set up, position, and dismantle pump equipment efficiently and safely on site
· Communicate efficiently and respectfully with contractors, finishers, drivers, and site supervisors to ensure smooth concrete placement operations
· Monitor concrete flow, pumping pressures, and job site conditions to maintain safe and efficient operation
· Perform daily pre-trip inspections, routine maintenance, cleaning, and general upkeep of pump equipment and hoses
· Troubleshoot minor mechanical or operational issues in the field and report major repairs or concerns promptly
· Ensure all equipment is operated in compliance with company policies, manufacturer guidelines, and applicable safety regulations
· Maintain accurate daily logs, inspection records, and job-related paperwork as required
· Maintain a clean, organized, and professional appearance of equipment and work areas
· Travel to varying job sites across the NWO region, including occasional out of town work when required
· Communicate effectively with dispatch and office staff regarding schedules, site conditions, delays and job-related updates
· Adhere to all health and safety standards, always including proper use of PPE and safe work practices
· Represent Solid Construction Inc. professionally while interacting with customers, contractors, suppliers, and the public
· Assist with additional labour or related duties as required to support operations
Requirements:
· Valid DZ License required; AZ License considered a strong asset
· Clean driver’s abstract and ability to provide proof upon request
· Previous concrete pumping or related construction equipment experience preferred; training may be provided for the right candidate
· Strong understanding of safe work practices and commitment to workplace safety
· Mechanical aptitude with the ability to perform basic troubleshooting and minor equipment maintenance
· Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced construction environment
· Strong communication and teamwork skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with crews, dispatch and customers
· Reliable transportation to and form work
· Willingness to travel to various job sites throughout Northwestern Ontario
· Flexible availability, including early mornings, extended hours, out of town work, and occasional weekends during peak construction periods
· Physically capable of lifting, moving, and handing concrete hoses, pipes, and related equipment
· Ability to work outdoors in varying weather and site conditions
· Professional attitude with strong work ethic, punctuality, and dependability
· Ability to maintain professionalism and positive customer relations on job sites
· Knowledge of construction site procedures and heavy equipment operation considered an asset
