About the Role
As a Yard Worker, you'll be the face of our lumber yard, providing friendly and efficient service to customers and contractors. You'll help load materials, organize inventory, support deliveries, and ensure every customer leaves with a positive experience.
This is a full-time, year-round position. Rain, shine, snow, or sunshine—you enjoy being active and working outdoors!
What You'll Do
- Greet and assist customers and contractors in the lumber yard
- Safely load building materials into customer vehicles and contractor trucks
- Help coordinate deliveries to job sites with our logistics team
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe yard environment
- Support inventory handling, stocking, and material movement
- Build product knowledge to confidently assist customers with their projects
- Contribute to a positive team atmosphere and exceptional customer service experience

What We're Looking ForRequired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong customer service skills and a positive attitude
- Basic knowledge of hardware, lumber, or building materials
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Willingness to work weekends
- Eagerness to learn and grow product knowledgeBonus Points If You Have
- Forklift certification
- Experience in lumber, building materials, construction, warehousing, farming, or other physical labour roles
- Sales training or related education
- Experience with POS systems or computer databases
- Knowledge of local building codes, products, and industry trends
