PROFILE
Our Vancouver office is seeking a full-time intermediate-level corporate records clerk to join our fast-paced Corporate Services group in our Business Law department. As an integral member of the Corporate Services team, the incumbent will be required to provide corporate record services to professionals and paralegals, including maintaining minute books and conducting searches.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Create and maintain virtual minute books, including scanning, organizing, and updating corporate records.
Prepare and file annual reports, and ongoing maintenance filings for federal, provincial, extra‑provincial, and out‑of‑province entities, including societies.
Monitor, track, and respond to dissolution notices or compliance reminders from corporate registries.
Complete BC and federal transparency register filings and ensure records remain current and accurate.
Prepare and file changes to Registered and Records Offices.
Conduct BC name reservations and manage name availability processes with BC Registries.
Conduct BC Online searches and retrieve corporate documents as required.
Manage incoming corporate mail.
Perform other duties as assigned to support the Corporate Services Department.
QUALIFICATIONS
Two years’ related work experience.
Aptitude to take care of clients’ needs in a professional and courteous manner.
Produce a high quality and quantity of work products under tight timelines.
Handle stress in a business-appropriate manner.
Ability to use discretion when dealing with confidential information.
Strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to set priorities while dealing with conflicting and emerging priorities.
Excellent coordination and organizational skills.
Capacity to work independently, as well as in a team environment.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with other staff and professionals.
Strong written, oral and verbal communication skills.
Excellent grammar and proofreading skills.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (proficient in Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
Ability to multi-task within a fast-paced environment.

The starting range for this role is $52,000 to $65,000. Starting salary will be determined based on an applicant’s individual skills, competencies and unique qualifications. Gowling WLG employees have the potential to exceed this range based on tenure and performance.
