As a Junior Product Development Engineer with Calstone, you will have the chance to see the design and engineering of your product from start to finish including; planning, designing, composing, evaluating, and advising on product design & manufacturing.

Your next Career: Junior Product Development Engineer
Reporting to the Engineering Manager, this position will augment engineering staff in the creation and release of product drawing and related engineering documentation. The Jr. Product Development Engineer will provide support to Product Engineers by documenting designs of new products and improvements to existing products. Documentation includes SolidWorks 3D modeling of parts and assemblies for Calstone, products.
Responsibilities:
- Responsible for completing detail and assembly drawings.
- Designing custom furniture to be manufactured
- Create 3D models and shop drawings for various parts.
- Responsible for structuring and writing of bill of materials lists.
- Responsible for generating engineering drawing releases and design change releases.
- Create or revise accurate, detailed SolidWorks models, drawings, & BOM's.
- Release of product drawings and related engineering documentation.
- Create accurate cost estimates.
- Prepare design layouts, diagrams, and drawing/Schematics of components and assemblies.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical or other related engineering disciplines
- 1-2 years of relevant Solidworks Sheet Metal Features experience
- 1-2 years of experience with producing detailed drawings using Solidworks, including Design Table and PDM Vault
- Requires strong organization skills, problem solving, attention to detail, and good communication skills.
- Strong math and mechanical aptitude.
- Computer literate with excellent skills in Word, Excel, Solidworks.
- Exceptional communication skills
- Positive attitude, and works well independently and in a team setting
- Valid driver’s license and a vehicle (for travel to and from the Office and Manufacturing facility 1km apart)
Preferred:
- Formal SolidWorks training.
- Engineering Aluminum based products
- Working towards P.Eng (Professional Engineer) License

Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
