Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and personable Marijuana Budtender to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional customer service, educate customers about our products, and assist in creating a welcoming environment. This role requires a strong understanding of cannabis products, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage retail transactions efficiently. Multilingual abilities and experience in retail or hospitality are highly valued to enhance customer interactions and support diverse clientele.
Shifts are as follows
Tuesday & Thursday 11-7
Every second Saturday & Sunday 11-7
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and assist them in selecting appropriate cannabis products based on their preferences and needs
- Educate customers on product effects, strains, consumption methods, and responsible usage
- Operate POS systems for cash handling, sales processing, and inventory management
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and ensure product availability and presentation meet company standards
- Manage inventory levels, restock shelves, and assist with stock organization
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cash handling and receipt issuance
- Provide detailed product information in multiple languages as needed, including English and French
- Uphold compliance with all legal regulations related to cannabis sales and store policies
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing sales records and maintaining cleanliness of the sales area
Skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills to engage a diverse clientele
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel for record keeping and reporting
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Basic math skills for cash handling and transaction accuracy
- Experience with retail sales, merchandising, and POS systems is preferred
- Ability to operate computer systems efficiently for sales processing and inventory management
- Multilingual abilities, especially in English and French, are highly desirable
- Hospitality or previous experience in a similar role is advantageous
- Leadership qualities to assist team members when needed and contribute positively to team dynamics
- Physical ability for heavy lifting when managing stock or supplies as required
