Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and hardworking Carpenter Helper/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting skilled carpenters and construction professionals in various projects, supporting the completion of residential and commercial builds. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, a willingness to learn, and some experience or interest in construction trades. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in multiple aspects of construction, including framing, finishing, and general labor tasks.
Duties
- Assist with the setup and cleanup of job sites, ensuring a safe working environment
- Support carpenters with material handling, including heavy lifting and moving supplies
- Help with framing, drywall installation, and other carpentry-related tasks as directed
- Use hand tools and power tools to assist in cutting, measuring, and assembling materials
- Support concrete forming, rebar installation, roofing, siding, and other specialized tasks
- Assist with masonry work, tile laying, flooring installation, and cabinetry work when needed
- Perform general labor duties such as cleaning work areas and organizing materials
- Follow safety protocols including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Skills
- Experience or familiarity with siding, or tile laying is a plus
- Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and construction equipment operation
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Construction experience including carpentry, woodworking, or general labor roles preferred
- Ability to follow instructions accurately and work well within a team environment
- Strong work ethic with attention to safety standards and quality workmanship
