Overview
This is a part time position. Interviews will take place at the end of July/early August. You will only be contacted if we would like to set up an interview.
Duties
- Assist with food preparation and meal assembly according to established recipes and standards
- engaging and interacting with children
- Support cooking activities by preparing ingredients and ensuring proper portioning
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations, utensils, and equipment
- Handle food safely by following proper storage, handling, and sanitation procedures
- Assist with inventory management, including stocking supplies and rotating stock as needed
- Follow all health and safety regulations to ensure a safe working environment
- Support the team during busy periods by performing various kitchen tasks as assigned
Skills
- Experience in food service, food handling, or restaurant environments is highly desirable
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper hygiene practices
- Ability to assist with cooking, meal preparation, and food presentation
- Good organizational skills to maintain cleanliness and order in the kitchen
- Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities within a fast-paced setting
- Prior kitchen or food industry experience is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
Pay: $20.30 per hour
