About the role ConnectAI Logistics Partners Inc. is hiring reliable, long-term AZ drivers for consistent cross-border lanes. Our primary lanes run to Quebec (QC) and the U.S. Midwest with short-haul turnarounds. We value safety, professionalism, and clear communication.
Key responsibilities
- Operate an AZ tractor safely and efficiently on cross-border routes to QC and the U.S. Midwest.
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections; maintain accurate logs and DVIRs.
- Manage border crossings professionally, ensuring all documents are accurate and ready.
- Protect freight integrity: secure loads and follow handling instructions where applicable.
- Communicate proactively with dispatch on ETAs, delays, and issues.
- Adhere to all Canadian and U.S. regulations, company policies, and customer site rules.
- Represent the company with a courteous, professional demeanor at shippers/receivers.
Minimum qualifications
- Valid AZ driver’s license in good standing.
- MELT: minimum 1 year since completion, plus at least 1 additional year of verified driving experience.
- Valid passport and U.S. entry visa/eligibility for cross-border travel.
- Clear driver’s abstract and clean CVOR (no major violations).
- Ability to complete e-logs and standard cross-border paperwork.
Preferred qualifications
- Manual transmission proficiency (asset).
- Prior cross-border experience to QC and the U.S. Midwest.
- Strong safety record and customer service mindset.
Schedule and lanes
- Consistent short-haul turns to QC and the U.S. Midwest.
- Mix of day and night departures; weekend availability may be required.
- Home time aligned to short-haul patterns; specifics discussed during screening.
Compensation
- Starting rate: $0.50 per mile.
- Final rate is negotiable and will be confirmed after a skills and experience assessment.
- Paid waiting/layover and border delay policies where applicable.
Equipment and support
- Well-maintained tractors and trailers.
- Fuel cards, ELDs, and safety program.
