Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Bindery Operator who is versatile and willing to chip in where needed. While your primary focus will be finishing and bindery, the ideal candidate is a team player who can occasionally assist with shipping and driving/deliveries as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Finishing Operations: Set up and operate finishing equipment, including Hot Laminators, Folding Machines, and Paper Cutters.
- Bindery & Assembly: Perform bookbinding (wire-o, coil, saddle stitching) and manual finishing work (gluing NCR forms or pads).
- Shop Support: Maintain a clean, safe, and highly organized workspace.
- Logistics Back-up: Assist with shipping prep and occasional local driving/deliveries.
- Team Collaboration: Follow detailed job ticket instructions and complete tasks assigned by the production manager.
Requirements & Qualifications
- Experience: Minimum 1–2 years of hands-on experience in a commercial printing/bindery environment.
- Physical Stamina: Ability to stand for long periods and comfortably lift up to 35 lbs.
- Skills: Strong communication skills (fluent in English, both oral and written) with a sharp eye for detail.
- Attributes: A clean, organized worker with a "can-do" attitude who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
- Logistics: Valid driver’s license (for occasional driving duties) and available to start full-time immediately.
Shift & Schedule
- Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM
