Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will provide exceptional guest service, ensure food safety and sanitation standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, multitasking abilities, and a passion for the food industry. Prior restaurant experience is preferred but not mandatory, as training will be provided. The Server is essential in delivering a memorable dining experience through excellent service and efficient food handling.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and present menus with enthusiasm
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, ensuring proper entry and timely communication to the kitchen
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining high standards of presentation and cleanliness
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest experience and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained throughout service
- Assist in food preparation or kitchen tasks as needed to support smooth operations
- Manage time effectively to serve multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Address guest inquiries professionally, providing excellent customer service and guest services
Qualifications
- Previous experience in food service or hospitality preferred; knowledge of the food industry is a plus
- Familiarity with POS systems, especially Micros POS, is advantageous
- Strong time management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food handling, sanitation, and food safety protocols
- Basic math skills for cashiering and order accuracy
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
- Kitchen experience or food preparation knowledge is beneficial but not required
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed
