baking & Food Preparation
- Prepare and bake a variety of baked goods such as muffins, cookies, loaves, scones, pastries, cakes, and other menu items
- Follow recipes accurately and consistently
- Measure and mix ingredients properly
- Prepare doughs, batters, fillings, frostings, and toppings
- Ensure products are baked, cooled, decorated, and displayed to quality standards
- Assist with seasonal or specialty baking items as needed
Kitchen Organization & Cleanliness
- Maintain a clean, sanitary, and organized baking/kitchen area
- Wash dishes, utensils, mixers, trays, and baking tools as needed
- Clean workstations, counters, ovens, and prep areas regularly
- Follow all food safety and sanitation guidelines
- Properly label, date, and store ingredients and finished products
- Help with receiving and organizing deliveries
Quality Control
- Ensure all baked goods meet presentation, freshness, and taste standards
- Check products for consistency and quality before serving or display
- Minimize waste and use ingredients efficiently
Team Support
- Work closely with kitchen staff, baristas, and supervisors
- Assist with prep and other kitchen duties when needed
- Communicate clearly with management regarding production needs, shortages, or concerns
- Support a positive and respectful team environment
Qualifications
- Previous baking or kitchen experience is a must
- Knowledge of basic baking techniques and kitchen equipment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow recipes
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Good time management and organizational skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Food Safe certification is needed before the 3 month probation is over.
