Tourmaline Oil Corp. (“Tourmaline”) is Canada’s largest natural gas producer focused on long-term growth
through an active exploration, development, production and acquisition program in the Western Canadian
Sedimentary Basin.
We are currently looking for a Master Data Analyst to join our team full time in our Calgary office. This role
will report to the Supervisor, Master Data and Vendor Maintenance.
Key Responsibilities
The Master Data Analyst is responsible for the creation, modification, and/or deletion of data elements related
to Enterprise Master Data records, with a focus on Finance/Accounting data. This position also acts as
gatekeeper and maintainer of Tourmaline’s master data through monitoring and enforcing of Tourmaline’s
policies and processes to ensure master data integrity is maintained by all business users.
- Maintain data elements related to enterprise master data records (CC’s, WI DOIs, Allocations, etc.)
- Responsible for continuous improvement of master data through systematic technical analysis
- Investigate and perform root cause analysis for master data related issues, and interact closely with
ITS and other Business Units to determine the best solutions once the cause of issue is identified
- Gate-keep master data, validate new requests while initiating action plans to correct and maintain
current data within all relevant systems (Ex: D365, Master Data System, BI Reporting, etc.)
- Monitor related controls at all relevant levels to ensure the integrity of master data.
- Cross trained on vendor setup, maintenance and inquires
- Ad-hoc duties and backup support for other coworkers during vacation leave or absences
Qualifications & Skills
- Minimum of 2-4 years of related Master Data Management / Core Maintenance experience in the oil
and gas industry.
- Knowledge of the company systems (Microsoft D365, LandRite, Prodview, StackDx Maps, Open
Invoice, etc.) would be an asset.
- Strong MS Excel knowledge, data analysis, and attention to detail skills are a must have.
- Hard-working, willing to take on challenges, and takes initiative when it comes to completing all
necessary tasks.
- Able to work in a team environment, as well as independently in high-volume and fast-paced
environments
- Proficient with Microsoft products.
