Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Asphalt Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with paving projects and supporting heavy equipment operation on various construction sites. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to contribute to high-quality infrastructure development. Prior experience in construction or paving is a plus, but training will be provided for the right candidate. This position offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in heavy equipment operation and asphalt paving within a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the preparation and setup of paving sites, including moving materials and tools.
- Support heavy equipment operators by providing manual labor and ensuring safety protocols are followed.
- Help with asphalt laying, compaction, and finishing tasks under supervision.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to promote safety and efficiency.
- Follow all safety guidelines and procedures during daily operations.
- Perform general construction duties as needed, including site cleanup and material handling.
Experience
- Prior experience in construction, paving, or related heavy equipment operation is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of paving techniques and construction safety standards is advantageous.
- Ability to operate basic hand tools and assist with the operation of heavy machinery is a plus.
- Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor in outdoor conditions are essential.
- Willingness to learn new skills related to asphalt paving and construction processes.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour
