Role Description
Full-time and part-time on-site Cook position based in Vancouver, BC. The Cook will be responsible for preparing and cooking the dishes from our menu, maintaining food quality and safety standards, and ensuring a clean and organized kitchen environment. Duties also include collaborating with kitchen staff to manage prep work, portion control, and plating, while following traditional recipes.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in food preparation and cooking, particularly in traditional Uzbek and Central Asian cuisines
- Knowledge of kitchen safety, food hygiene, and sanitation principles
- Ability to follow traditional recipes, manage portion control, and maintain consistent food quality
- Strong teamwork skills to collaborate effectively with the kitchen staff
- Organizational skills to manage kitchen inventory and maintain cleanliness
- Flexibility to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented kitchen environment
- Previous experience as a cook or chef in a restaurant setting is a strong advantage
- Basic understanding of inventory management is a plus
Pay: $17.85-$19.14 per hour
