Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair and maintain company vehicles and small construction equipment/tools. The successful candidate will ensure all equipment is safe, reliable, and available to support construction operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on company light-duty vehicles, pickup trucks, and trailers.
- Diagnose and repair gasoline and diesel engines.
- Service and repair small engines and construction tools, including generators, plate compactors, pumps, chainsaws, concrete saws, and other portable equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, fuel, and mechanical systems.
- Complete inspections and identify required repairs.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records.
- Ensure compliance with company safety policies and manufacturer specifications.
- Order or recommend replacement parts and consumables as required.
- Keep the workshop clean, organized, and safe.
Qualifications:
- Journeyperson Mechanic, Automotive Service Technician, or equivalent experience.
- Experience repairing construction equipment and small-engine tools.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
- Valid driver's license (Class 5 minimum; higher class is an asset).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple repair priorities.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the construction industry.
- Experience with fleet maintenance software (JAL TEST).
- Safety certifications (WHMIS, First Aid, etc.) are an asset.

Pay: $23.83-$36.44 per hour
