Martin’s Family Fruit Farm is a leading grower and packer of quality Ontario apples and apple products. The Orchard Market Store, located near St. Jacobs at 1420 Lobsinger Line, Waterloo, sells apples and apple related products, while creating a superior experience for customers and the local community. Located in the Orchard Market Store, the Orchard Bake Shop features locally made and freshly baked apple baked goods.
We are looking for a flexible part-time Apple Ambassador/Retail Associate to enthusiastically represent Martin’s Family Fruit Farm to customers and visitors to the Orchard Market. Working with the Orchard Market Supervisor and Team Lead to guide the customer experience with knowledgeable product information and provide facts and education on various apple varieties and other Martin’s related products.
Daily responsibilities: excellent customer service, handling cash, create product displays and packing apples out of large orchard totes. Additional tasks include assisting customers and restocking products. The role involves lifting (up to 40lbs) and working in a cooler environment to ensure quality product. Steel toe shoes are required for safety reasons (reimbursement is provided up to $75).
Scheduled shifts will be around 20-30 hours/week depending on seasonal requirements. The store hours are 9am to 6pm Monday to Friday and 8am to 4pm on Saturdays (closed on Sundays).
Candidates must be available for the following:
- At least 2 closing shifts per week (10am-6:15pm or 12pm-6:15pm)
- At least 2 Saturdays per month
Other shifts may be scheduled for daytime coverage (9am-3pm/10am-4pm) depending on the candidate’s availability.
Requirements: related experience in customer service and retail. Punctual, reliable and able to work a flexible schedule. Willingness to assist in various tasks as part of Martin’s team.
Please note that we are located just outside of the city without access to bus service.
