We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Operator to join our team in Stoney Creek. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting up, operating, and adjusting CNC lathe and milling machines equipped with Fanuc control systems. The ideal candidate will have strong machining knowledge, experience with CNC programming, and the ability to manufacture precision components while maintaining high quality and safety standards.
Program, set up, and operate CNC lathe and milling machines using Fanuc control systems.
Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
Select appropriate tooling, fixtures, and machine parameters for production runs.
Load raw materials and prepare machines for operation.
Perform machine setup, tool changes, and production changeovers.
Monitor machine operations to ensure parts meet quality and dimensional requirements.
Adjust machine offsets, feeds, speeds, and tooling as needed.
Inspect finished components using calipers, micrometers, gauges, and other precision measuring instruments.
Conduct first-off, in-process, and final inspections to ensure product quality.
Troubleshoot machining issues and identify causes of production defects.
Modify and edit CNC programs to improve efficiency and maintain product quality.
Perform routine machine maintenance and keep equipment in good working condition.
Maintain accurate production and quality records.
Follow all workplace health and safety procedures and company policies.
Keep the work area clean, organized, and free of safety hazards.
Collaborate with supervisors, programmers, and quality personnel to meet production goals.
Ensure production targets and deadlines are achieved while maintaining quality standards.
Report machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality concerns promptly.
Previous experience as a CNC Operator.
Experience with Fanuc Control Systems is mandatory.
Strong experience with CNC lathe and milling machine programming.
Experience with machine setup, operation, and troubleshooting.
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
Knowledge of G-Code and M-Code programming.
Experience using precision measuring instruments.
Strong mathematical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
