Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for safely transporting vehicles, assisting stranded motorists, and ensuring that all towing operations are conducted in compliance with safety regulations.
Duties
- Operate tow trucks and other vehicles to transport disabled or improperly parked vehicles.
- Respond promptly to calls for assistance from customers and dispatch.
- Conduct vehicle inspections before towing to ensure safety and compliance.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their needs and concerns.
- Perform minor automotive repairs or troubleshooting when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of towing operations, including vehicle condition reports.
- Ensure that all equipment is in good working order and report any mechanical issues.
- Follow all traffic laws and safety protocols while driving.
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license; clean driving record is essential.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and experience in automotive repair is highly desirable.
- Previous experience in customer service roles to effectively interact with clients.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other machinery as needed.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as required.
- Physical stamina to handle the demands of the job, including lifting heavy objects.
