Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pool Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and servicing residential and commercial swimming pools, ensuring they are clean, safe, and operational. Duties
- Perform routine cleaning and chemical balancing of pools to ensure optimal water quality and safety standards.
- Inspect pool equipment such as pumps, filters, heaters, and chlorinators; perform repairs or coordinate repairs as needed.
- Use hand tools and power tools for maintenance tasks including filter replacements, pump repairs, and system upgrades.
- Conduct landscape maintenance around pool areas, including gardening and general landscaping tasks.
- Operate construction equipment such as excavators for pool installation or renovation projects when necessary.
- Assist with excavation work for new pool installations or repairs requiring digging or earthmoving.
- Maintain detailed records of service visits, repairs performed, and materials used.
- Follow safety protocols during all maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment.
Skills
- Experience with excavation equipment such as excavators is a plus.
- Mechanical knowledge related to pool systems and general maintenance is essential.
- Proficiency with hand tools and power tools used in construction and repair tasks.
- Strong understanding of pool chemistry and water treatment processes.
- Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting heavy equipment and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently.
- Prior experience in construction or maintenance roles is beneficial but not mandatory; training will be provided for specific technical skills required for the role.
