Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Appliance Delivery Helper to assist with the safe and efficient delivery and installation of appliances. This role involves working closely with delivery teams to ensure customer satisfaction through professional handling, setup, and support. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic, good mechanical aptitude, and excellent customer service skills to contribute to a positive delivery experience.
Duties
- Assist with loading and unloading appliances from delivery trucks, ensuring proper handling to prevent damage
- Support the installation process by following schematics and technical instructions
- Help with connecting appliances, including basic electrical and mechanical tasks as needed
- Ensure appliances are properly positioned and secured at the customer’s location
- Communicate effectively with customers to address questions or concerns during delivery
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and delivery equipment after each job
- Follow safety protocols throughout all stages of delivery and installation
Qualifications
- Prior electrical experience or mechanical knowledge is highly desirable
- Experience with appliance repair or assembly is a plus
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally
- Ability to read schematics and technical diagrams
- Knowledge of HVAC systems or related fields is beneficial but not required
- Physical ability to lift heavy appliances safely and stand for extended periods
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license preferred
- Ability to work as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
