Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Grain Handler to join our team. The Bagger- Grain Handler, under the direction of the Plant Manager, will primarily be responsible for managing timelines of the outgoing bagged shipments. This position will be responsible for the management, operation, and maintenance of bag packaging equipment.
Responsibilities
- Completion of bag procedures as required (setup/bag selection/tag/pallets/etc.)
- Participation and upholding of company safety meetings, policies and procedures.
- Working w/in timelines of the outgoing bagged loads.
- Responsible for the management of bag packaging equipment
- Operate and maintenance of bag packaging equipment
- Update load completion on shipping schedule & shipped loads
- Ensure accurate application of packing information i.e. tags
- Monthly, weekly, daily cleanup and maintenance, mainly the bagging rooms as used but this may also include the shipping area, sweeping, empty garbage when required, and any shut down procedures. Inspect yard at end of day and lock gate. (The list is not limited to the items noted.)
- Assist with the unloading & loading of trucks when necessary
- Bulkhead construction
- Make management aware of parts & supplies to be ordered (bags/pallets/etc.)
- Collect & retain sample integrity from loads as bagged, label & provide to plant office (CFIA)
- Maintain warehouse organization & cleanliness
- Collaborate and effectively communicate with other team members in order to achieve the tasks outlined
Requirements
- Prior experience with forklift operation is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory counts and order processing
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management
- Ability to lift heavy loads safely and work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic understanding of safety standards and protocols

Pay: $20.00-$21.00 per hour
