THE OPPORTUNITY
Our client is seeking a Bilingual Case Coordinator (French & English) to join their growing Ottawa office.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced insurance or financial services professional who enjoys owning the new business process from start to finish. Working alongside a close-knit and collaborative team, you'll play a key role in ensuring life insurance applications move efficiently from submission through underwriting to policy issue.

RESPONSIBILITIES
New Business Administration
- Review and audit life insurance applications for completeness and accuracy
- Verify signatures and required documentation
- Submit applications electronically to insurance carriers
- Monitor applications throughout the underwriting process
- Track outstanding requirements and follow up accordingly
- Coordinate directly with advisors and insurance carriers
- Ensure files progress efficiently through to policy issue
- Distribute issued policies where required
Underwriting Coordination
- Order attending physician statements (APS)
- Coordinate medical requirements and blood profiles
- Arrange Dynacare appointments and other underwriting requirements
- Follow up on settlement requirements
- Maintain regular communication with carriers regarding outstanding items
- Keep advisors informed throughout the underwriting process
Administrative Support
- Maintain accurate client records and documentation
- Assist with light office administration including greeting visitors, receiving couriers, and supporting day-to-day office operations
- Collaborate with teammates and provide support where needed
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience within an MGA, insurance brokerage, insurance carrier, or financial services environment
- Previous experience supporting life insurance new business processing
- Working knowledge of life insurance terminology including underwriting, APS requests, medical requirements, settlement requirements, and life insurance applications
- Fully bilingual in English and French (spoken and written)
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
- Comfortable communicating with advisors and insurance carriers by phone and email
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook
- Experience using WealthServ, RepVision, or similar industry software is considered an asset
