Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care while assisting the dentist during various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices and excellent interpersonal skills to ensure a positive experience for our patients.
Duties
- Assist the dentist during examinations and treatments, ensuring that all necessary instruments and materials are prepared in advance.
- Take diagnostic dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed, adhering to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Dentrix.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions.
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and work areas to maintain a clean environment.
- Assist in pediatric and orthodontic procedures, demonstrating a compassionate approach to younger patients.
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is preferred; familiarity with dental terminology is essential.
- Proficiency in dental software systems such as Dentrix is highly desirable.
- Experience in pediatrics or orthodontics will be considered an advantage.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients and team members.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Certification in dental assisting or relevant qualifications is required.
- A commitment to providing high-quality patient care and maintaining confidentiality.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $28.00-$35.00 per hour

- Dental Assisting: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Dental Assistant with BCCOHP (preferred)
