Responsibilities
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, hydraulic systems, HVAC units, and electrical systems to prevent breakdowns and extend machinery lifespan.
- Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, technical manuals, and diagnostic tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and precision measuring instruments.
- Repair or replace faulty components including motors, belts, valves, sensors, switches, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
- Operate and maintain specialized tools such as welders (including <LOCATION> welding), scissor lifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software to document work orders, track maintenance history, and schedule future tasks.
- Collaborate with production teams to minimize downtime by providing field service support and quick repairs during operational hours.
- Read electrical schematics and mechanical diagrams to accurately diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
Skills
- Proven experience working in an industrial mechanic or maintenance role within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician practices, low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, and electrical troubleshooting techniques.
- Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems (Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning / Refrigeration), welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and precision measurement instruments.
- Ability to interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams accurately for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and reporting.
- Excellent analysis skills for diagnosing complex mechanical or electrical problems efficiently.
- Strong customer service orientation with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
- Field service experience in industrial settings is highly desirable; military background is a plus for discipline and technical training.
