Overview
The Event Security Guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for guests, staff, vendors, and visitors during events. This role involves monitoring access points, enforcing security procedures, managing crowds, and responding to incidents while providing excellent customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas.
- Verify tickets, credentials, and authorized access.
- Conduct security screenings when required.
- Manage crowd flow and assist with queue control.
- Patrol assigned areas to identify and report security or safety concerns.
- Respond promptly to emergencies, incidents, and suspicious activities.
- Provide directions and assistance to guests and visitors.
- Enforce venue policies and security procedures.
- Work cooperatively with event staff, emergency personnel, and law enforcement when necessary.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate records.
Qualifications:
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- First Aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
