We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Cook to join our culinary team. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook a variety of banquet dishes according to menu specifications and event requirements
- Assist in food preparation, including chopping, marinating, and portioning ingredients
- Ensure all food is handled safely and stored properly in compliance with food safety standards
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including equipment and utensils
- Collaborate with catering staff to ensure timely delivery of meals during events
- Monitor food quality during preparation and presentation to uphold high standards
- Follow recipes accurately while maintaining consistency in taste and appearance
- Assist with meal plating and presentation to enhance visual appeal for guests
Requirements
- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or related roles within the food industry or restaurant environment
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and proper handling procedures
- Strong skills in serving, meal preparation, and kitchen operations
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy banquet events
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Experience with food handling equipment and techniques used in large-scale food service operations
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as needed for banquet schedules
- Prior restaurant or catering experience is preferred but not mandatory; a passion for culinary arts is essential
