We are currently seeking an experienced Fitter to join our team in Calgary. The ideal candidate will not only possess exceptional fitting skills but also bring valuable mechanical experience to the role, which will be considered a significant asset. Key Responsibilities:
- Reading and interpreting blueprints and welding specifications.
- Fitting metal components using processes such as gas metal arc welding (GMAW), flux-cored arc welding (FCAW), and shielded metal arc welding (SMAW).
- Maintaining welding equipment and ensuring it is in optimal working condition.
- Conducting pre- and post-welding inspections to ensure quality standards are met.
- Ensuring the quality of welded parts aligns with the required specifications.
- Operating overhead cranes and forklifts to efficiently move materials.
- Adhering to all safety regulations and promoting safe welding practices.
- Communicating with the fabrication and production departments to plan and coordinate welding projects effectively.
Qualifications:
- Proven ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding specifications.
- Extensive knowledge of welding processes, including GMAW, FCAW, and SMAW.
- Experience in operating overhead cranes and forklifts.
- Mechanical experience, which is a significant asset in this role.
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.

Pay: $32.00-$35.00 per hour
