Summary of Duties:
Reporting to the Director of Community Development, the Community Inclusion and Outreach manager will be responsible for administering special needs and pre-employment services for the Lilwat Nation. This position will develop and integrate a case management system, working closely with Social Development and Community Inclusion to develop individualized plans. Individuals will be supported to increase independence through skills development and personalized planning for people with special needs and individuals that qualify for pre-employments services or who might have barriers to inclusion. The manager will work with community partners and support inclusive, community-based services that respond to individual and family priorities like accessibility and health service coordination, work experience, volunteering and poverty reduction and outreach. The role will support individuals and families through person-centred, strength-based, trauma-informed, and culturally safe approaches.
Key Deliverables and Expectations:

Develop and oversee program objectives for pre-employment and community inclusion services, ensuring they meet contractual deliverables, funder requirements, and participant needs.

Develop and integrate case management system and good record keeping systems, including use of any new software programs required

Work with the collaboration partners on services for Special Needs families and pre-employment and inclusion activities for referral and planning purposes

Oversee intake for assessments and volunteering related to pre-employment and create individualized plans

Schedule and support activities that include communities participation in training workshops, skills building and socializing

Build partnerships with local employers to create volunteer, mentorship, and job placement opportunities.

Manage program budgets, monitor expenditures, and track deliverables for reporting.

Support the recruitment, training, and onboarding of program staff, and support workers, ensuring compliance with organizational policies.

Maintain high standards of confidentiality and professionalism in all community interactions.

Perform other related duties as required.
Experience and Attributes:

A combination of relevant work experience and/or lived experience, or a bachelor’s degree in social or human services work, or a related field.

Preference may be given to applicants with direct or indirect lived experience with addiction, poverty, homelessness, or mental health challenges.

Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to connect with a variety of audiences.

Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and across Lilwat departments.

Experience with grant writing, service coordination, and program development and reporting is an asset.

Strong commitment to confidentiality, impartiality, and respectful community service

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word and Excel.

Strong understanding of barriers to employment, trauma-informed practice, and local knowledge

Culturally respectful and professional in all interactions with clients, staff, and community members.

Must have a valid BC Class 5 Driver’s License and access to a reliable vehicle.

Must be able to provide a clear Criminal Record Check including Vulnerable Sector screening.
