We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager with strong expertise in Retail Technology, Point of Sale (POS) implementations, and enterprise transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record managing complex retail technology programs involving POS platforms (software upgrades), store systems, integrations, operational processes, and cross-functional teams.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading end-to-end delivery, managing scope, timelines, risks, resources, executive communications and stakeholder expectations across business and technology teams.
Experience with Radiant POS / NCR Radiant platform environments is highly preferred including implementations, upgrades, integrations, store rollouts and/or operational support initiatives
The Project Manager will be responsible for managing all aspects of project lifecycle from inception to implementation and project closure. The Project Manager will ensure the objectives and goals are met and the commitments on budget, quality, scope, and schedule are achieved following the standard project management practices. The Project Manager is also responsible for ensuring that the efforts of the various internal functional areas and external service providers and customers are integrated in the best interest of the project by promoting and enforcing the Client's Project Management methodology. The Project Manager is able to facilitate communication with all stakeholders efficiently and effectively. The Project Manager directs, manages, and coordinates team partners including technology resources, user groups, internal and external consultants, contractors as well as vendors. From a client perspective, the project manager will need to work closely with the client and manage client expectations effectively.
Your future duties and responsibilities
Project Delivery & Leadership
- Lead complex enterprise IT projects from initiation through implementation and stabilization.
- Own project planning, execution, governance, delivery timelines, and outcomes.
- Drive project activities across technology, business operations, vendors, and third-party partners.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope and aligned with business objectives.
Scope & Change Management
- Define and manage project scope, objectives, deliverables, assumptions, and constraints.
- Establish effective change control processes to manage scope changes.
- Identify impacts of business requirements, technology changes, and operational needs.
- Prevent scope creep while ensuring business priorities are addressed.
Risk, Issue & Dependency Management
- Maintain and manage RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
- Identify project risks proactively and develop mitigation strategies.
- Escalate critical risks and blockers to leadership with recommended solutions.
- Drive issue resolution across technical and business teams
Resource & Team Coordination
o Coordinate cross-functional teams including:
- Application teams
- POS support teams
- Store operations
- Business stakeholders
- Vendors and implementation partners
- Manage resource allocation, capacity planning, and delivery commitments.
- Foster collaboration and accountability across project teams.
Retail POS / Radiant Platform Experience
- Lead or support initiatives involving retail POS ecosystems and modernization programs, including:
- Store technology deployments
- POS upgrades and migrations
- Hardware/software rollouts
- Payment integrations
- Store operations technology
- Reporting and analytics solutions
- Loyalty and customer experience capabilities
- Experience working with **Radiant POS / NCR Radiant environments** including store systems, back-office operations, integrations, and enterprise retail deployments is preferred.
- Partner with technical teams to manage integrations between POS, ERP, payment systems, inventory, and other retail applications.
Stakeholder & Executive Management
- Build strong relationships with business leaders and IT stakeholders, vendors and operational teams.
- Provide executive-level reporting to senior leadership including:
- Project status
- Milestones
- Budget updates
- Risks/issues
- Decision points
- Delivery forecasts
- Facilitate steering committee meetings and leadership updates.
Communication & Collaboration
- Act as the bridge between technical teams and business stakeholders.
- Translate complex technical concepts into business-friendly communication.
- Promote teamwork and continuous improvement.
Required qualifications to be successful in this role
- Minimum of 8 years of experience managing IT projects/programs.
- 5 years or more of extensive experience delivering retail technology or POS implementations
- Strong understanding of retail store operations and customer-facing technology.
- Experience managing large-scale deployments across multiple locations/stores.
- Hands-on experience with:
- Scope management
- Risk management
- RAID management
- Resource coordination
- Vendor management
- Executive reporting
- Stakeholder management
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Good knowledge and understanding of people change management is required
- Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
- Sound technical acumen, with demonstrated agility in learning and ability to quickly become comfortable with unfamiliar technologies.

CGI is providing a reasonable estimate of the pay range for this role. The determination of this range includes factors such as skill set level, geographic market, experience and training, and licenses and certifications. Compensation decisions depend on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $70,000–$120,000. This role is an existing vacancy.
