Lenzin & Associates LLP is a local, well established CPA firm that is looking for an experienced Accountant who is seeking a long-term position to join our team. We are a small 10-person office with two partners located just north of downtown Calgary. This position is a great opportunity for those looking for growth and to be an integral part of moving the firm forward for continued success.
Our practice is mainly tax focused and consists of tax planning and advice for owner-managed private businesses. You will be an important member of the team, taking ownership of your own work.
The Position
· Completion of compilation and review engagements
· Preparation of financial statements and corporate tax returns from source documents
· Review of personal tax returns prepared by staff
· Preparation or review of various tax forms including T4s and T5s
· Significant overtime starting in mid-March for six weeks during personal tax season
Skills and Experience Required
· Minimum of two years’ experience in public accounting but more experience would be preferred
· CPA designation, or nearing completion of CPA designation
· Enthusiastic with a good work ethic
· Ability to prioritize work and deadlines
· Ability to communicate clearly with clients
· Experience with tax and accounting software (Caseware and Taxprep would be an asset)
